Allow me to set up the Quick Items menu

Allow me to set up a FIXED order in the quick item menu, so that I can script my buffing ceremony.

  1. Not all of my consumables should be listed the quick item menu. Only the consumables that I select should be listed. For example, let’s say that I have a Large Vial of Defense and a Small Vial of Defense in my inventory. I should be able to decide not to have the Small Vial of Defense to show in my quick items menu.

  2. Allow me to set up an order in this menu. For example, I should be able to decide that I want to have my Blade Oil listed first than my Large Vial of Defense in this menu.

Why? It’s inconvenient to scroll through all of the consumables to get to the ones I want to apply. Why not just put the consumables I don’t need in a chest in my house? I keep doing that, but it could just be the case that I looted several other consumables in my way to the boss, and now they’re in the way.

Probably should implement the same thing for the food quick menu to keep it consistent.

They need to make it a radial menu where you select from 8-10 items and can just swap left or right pages by pressing R1/L1 while the radial menu is active.

While I fully support that idea and believe it would be an improvement over the current system regardless, this issue could also be addressed by removing all consumables from the drop pool and slightly increasing the drop rate or quantity gathered of raw ingredients used to craft them. (This applies to food as well.)

To introduce players to consumables earlier on, low-level quests could reward them directly as quest rewards.

Since I started playing, I haven’t crafted a single consumable except food.

This change would also reduce the overabundance of item drops and inventory clutter overall.

I’ve been thinking about that and completely agree that it would feel better to have control over this menu. I’ve always thought tears of the kingdom should have that because the more items you have, the more you scroll between items you don’t need at all. It feels like not having control over your own gear and might make you keep only a select few items in your inventory to avoid that. But then everything might get messed up the more you pick up items…
