A list of problems

Hello dear team,
compliments for the wonderful job! Great visual style, nice combat system, interesting story and very smooth gaming experience. Hope to play the final release soon.

After some hours of gaming, here a first list of issues I’d like to notify:

  • glitch when players go to sleep on ship and dream of falling into the deep sea: the character lays down and stands up suddenly, then lays down again (seems a rigging issue of the mesh);

  • jumping over holes in the ground isn’t precise. The animation lacks refinement (as visible in the first tutorial case, on the ship under attack);

  • the interaction between the character and water isn’t realistic. When the player walks into shallow water (half body submerged) the water intersect the player as a flat rigid plane, without any interaction effect (waves, splashes);

  • water effects are poor: along the riversides, the waves look like knife blades. Waterfalls and splash effects aren’t well designed/developped;

  • in some cases the water splash effect is terrible: flat plates mapped with texture of “water dots” (as visible in the firsts recorded scene of navigation);

  • footprints on the ground aren’t precise: not every step is marked on sand, mud, or other soft ground;

  • digging ground with the shovel activates a camera shaking effect that isn’t comfortable. Please reduce it or remove it;

  • a “pause” command is needed, please;

  • resistance/stamina level decrease quickly during swimming and in a fraction of second player can die. Could be possible to increase the alert time after the end of stamina? By this way, maybe, we can reach a safe river/side before to drown;

  • It could be nice to choose the controllers’ keys/buttons scheme, between Xbox and PlayStation;

  • It could be nice to remap the controller keys, in order to fit to player’s preferences;

  • It could be useful to have a mark/highlight visual effect for the interactive objects in the scene;

  • I know that to lock camera distance and rotation is a precise choise from you (stylistic and technical), but could be nice to zoom in the player area, sometimes. Maybe just a simple “hold and keep holded to zoom in”;

  • Not all the texts are translated into Italian.
