You know what really sucks?

Wasting a precious essence ember to extract an enchantment of a piece of armor to then discover it now can not be applied to my chosen piece of armor anymore!

Like I had 6 of these embers because the droprate is so insanely low it puts most mobile games to shame and now I have wasted one of them, down to 5 embers after 500 hours playtime I guess.

Fun….

I’m gonna guess you used it on breach gear. Some of those had enchants that are no longer valid, so the resulting essence can be restricted to different gear than what you pulled it from. I wasted a few essence embers this way as well. I basically sold off my gear stash to make sure it wouldn’t happen again. If you have a lot of old gear, I suggest checking Full List of Enchantments - Google Drive to make sure what you are trying to do is valid. Alternatively, you can use Build Planner – No Rest For The Wicked Tools to plan out a valid build before using your embers.

As far as drop rates, I also have 500 hours in the game, though definitely not entirely in the together update. I’ve got four builds fully fleshed out with plenty of mistakes along the way. The drop rate is definitely not the greatest, but there are ways to optimize your time. A Guide To Embers and Exalting So You Don't Waste Them

I have 20 of them after only 40 hours in the together update, so I doubt you’re accurate…

How many of those 500 hours are from the together update?

A lot more then 40 I can tell you that!

Are you checking vendors, fishing and digging? They give a lot of embers.

If you have 3-5 realms and just check their vendors once per day, you’d probably have 1 of them every day.

I’m not saying you’re making stuff up, but if you’re doing those basic gameplay things and getting only 5 of them in more than 40 hours, I think you’re incurring a bug.

of course I am.

But let’s be honest the game isn’t finished right and there isn’t much of an endgame, and it isn’t much fun imo.

So I am gonna park the gamer for now and wait for the next update or something.
