will progress reset? i’ve reached the level cap and have a house with a lot of stuff in it, and weapons/armor sets i really want to keep. will i have to get it all again when the full game eventually comes out?

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a reset, BG3 did the same thing and it was no biggie.

I’d be really interested in knowing the answer to this as well. I’m really enjoying the game, but id rather not continue grinding if everything is going to be wiped at launch.

But it’s not the same game, BG3 has a completely different genre
why does the genre matter? A reset is a reset.

I don’t know, it just feels like there’s no reset.
I hope so, I don’t want the devs to have to cater to keeping these possibly broken save files viable instead of just doing what needs to be done to make this game the best it can be. Especially considering this may be getting PvP…

I wouldn’t want to be a new guy coming in on 1.0 to try pvp and one of us shows up with a smurfed up character using yellow weapons and gem slotted armor.

According to their CEO’s twitter, it is almost certain that a wipe will happen. It feels bad to play it now and get wiped later. This is a game that you need time to farm for gears. Hence it doesn’t make sense to wipe as other games. This really hurts
damn that’s a shame. i don’t mind grinding again to at least get my gear back but it would be nice if we were able to keep what we got. thinking about it now, it’s for the best tbh.
It is for the best. There is numerous glitches that would destabilize the online play.
Hey…just want to ask for a statement from a dev or an offical, if its possible for them to tell us, at this stage of development, if a wipe will ever come…i mean, yes or no type of deal. I just want to know if im wasting time farming and hording all those goodies, plz.
They said on twitter they cant really say for sure.

Obviously wipe because people are duping and glitching the game. Those cant be allowed to transfer to release.

im sure when the multiplayer will be implemented they remove the realm “backup” saves and that will remove the dubing exploit, ofcource there will be cheater who use cheatengine to modify game values but those people will be flagged and get softbanned, similar to darksouls.

Can you please tell me if the progress will be reset with the next updates? I just wouldn’t want to replay the game 100 times before the release. Rebuilding a city and upgrading equipment so that you can do everything again is not very cool. I’m really looking forward to the roadmap)
