Why doesn't storage items appear when crafting/upgrading equipment?

No way can this be in the intended experience. Did you actually want the player to keep making trips back and forth from storage chest to vendor to upgrade different gear?

Solution: When wanting to upgrade/craft/etc, all your items (inventory, storage) should show in the list.

If you were serious about “redefining” the ARPG, you’d think if storage was even necessary in the first place. How can one get rid of unnecessary tedium for the player?
One of the reasons Ori was a masterpiece was because it was pure exploration joy with pretty much zero tedium. This is the opposite, with loads of tedium getting in the way of exploration.
