Visual Clarity of elemental effects

The visual clarity of effects makes it hard to see in combat. This can apply to single player to some extent, but is much worse with more players.

I did a playthrough with two ranged friends. Attempting to go into melee combat is often a death sentence, due to frost / lightning / fire / plague effects of hitting enemies making it hard to see when they are attacking, and when to dodge. We would even unequip quivers to try to reduce the visual clutter.

My suggestion would be to tone down the effects (they do look beautiful by the way), or better yet - add a transparency slider for the effects that we can use when needed.

it can be difficult to see purple boss puddles dropped in water or in plagued zones; how many players do you run your campaign with to not be able to see enemy animations clearly?

i would say at least 3 would be required to cause serious impact and they’d all have to be casters… try natrual pauses inbetween attacks and coordinated counter times instead of rabid firing pretty pixels, flash banging yourself while breaching is a good way to have high repair bills

the biggest experience like this ive had is losing my character in mob pulls or getting off-focused and looking at the wrong player model while mine holds W right off a bridge, player highlighting or nameplate adjustments would be a QoL improvement for visual aid, player markers perhaps?
