Utility runes is not able to equip

Hi, I understood the different between utility & weapon runes, but it seen like I am not allow to equip any of them except the default healing. I did unlock the slot of them but no matter I press what on the runes (like shine) it can’t equip, is there any way or NPC I need find?

Hi Keith!

For runes, the npc you want to talk to is called Eleanore. She can be found close to the smithy.

Make sure to read the ui within her Rune tab very closely, you will need to press a button first to go to the utility section.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions, or if you still cannot find her!

Hi Silas, I was also very confused here, needing to stop my playthrough to look up guides because I couldn’t figure out how to add utility runes. After reading your post I’ve realized it was right there the whole time…. Not a huge deal, but feels like something on the UX side that could be improved or made more obvious for future players. The two of us can’t be the only ones who missed it!

Thanks! Really enjoying the game so far.

Same problem, I have utility runes equiped. But they never show up. Only the heal. And of course I have a slot unlocked. If it’s not unlocked you can’t put the rune in. Man this game is broken beyond belief. I took a rune out, trying to figure this garbage out & my best weapon just disappears for no reason. So many hours wasted farming to upgrade this weapon. I did a whole playthrough to build a character around this. And the only way to get weapon was to buy off of blacksmith. Which is were bought it. So he won’t be selling that anymore. I just wish they would fix these MAJOR GAME BREAKING BUGS. The vendors are like slot machines. Sometimes I lose money when selling an item. And sometimes I gain money when selling my gear. You would think these are easy problems to fix

There is a very large warning you may have accidentally missed.

Now that you’ve had it in your inventory once, you can research it at Maker Danos and forge copies of it.

You (probably) do not, money is just converted to silver pieces if you exceed 99 copper (1 sp for every 100 cp), and similarly to gold pieces later on.

Hi Hilmzcat,

Make sure you have not cycled through your runes bar. Find this setting:

And check what keybind/button it is for you.

As Konrad has said, there is a huge warning you will destroy your weapon if you take out the rune. Did you not see that?

Money is also not lost but converted. 100 copper is 1 silver, 100 silver is 1 gold.

If you have more questions feel free to ask them here!
