[Linked] Utility Runes not available to be assigned

I have purchased some runes (heal & illuminate) I assigned them to the slots (x & y) but when i press RT it does not show them as assigned. I have gone through the gamepad controller assignments and do not see an option for utility runes. I am trying to go through the brine vault and I need to be able to see. I have tried increasing the brightness to 200 but that does not do anything.

Need some help please.

Hi, there is definitely setting for “Utility” in controller keybind settings, by default it might not be RT though, so you have to check it.

Yes and when RT is pressed, there are no runes set (X or Y). Is there a means to set the runes?

By default there should be Heal there. The rest you can set at Eleanor - choose Rune dialog and Utility Runes in the middle. There you can set them to keys you want.

Yes, that was where I bought the illuminate and set it to y. Heal was already set to x. But when i try to use them, they do not show up when I press RT. Pressing RT +y just gibes me a tone like it is disabled. In the lower left corner, I verified that it is switching to RT. However the utility runes are not displayed. I verified in settings that RT is set to the utility runes. I reverified with the rune vendor that the runes were in fact set. Is there something else I need to do?

No, I have just haphazardly fought in the dark. Death was a major part of this. I ended up putting the game aside. When you put in a bug report and NO ONE answers, its not a game you really wanna play.

Would it make you feel a little bit better to know I’ve escalated your issue to the proper channels?

As for fighting in the dark, if you ever decide to pick up the game be aware torches exist! You can hold one in your off-hand and dual wield it with your main.
2-handed or dual wield weapons will not be usable together with a torch. I hope this remedies your unfortunate bug at least somewhat.
