Hello reinstalled the game in preparation for the Co-Op. Had it installed for the Breach and my character was still in my account. But with the reinstall my character no longer exists.

Thank you for your report.
I’ve inquired and your build before this one is 20594, which is a pre-breach build.
I will explain what happened in The Breach update.
- every save made before The Breach was quarantined. The game made drastic changes and a soft-wipe was nessecary.
- you can still access these saves if you go into your steam librarly → right click the game → Properties → Betas → select the dropdown “None”, and select “crucible_legacy”
- I do not recommend to play the game on that version anymore, but it is available to you!
Sorry to be the deliverer of bad news! If you wait 1 more day the Co-op update will launch with an incredible amount of new changes, sytem overhauls and optimization.

Your character is walled off behind an older update. They are not available to you unless you patch into the crucible_legacy beta as I’ve instructed you to do
