I agree with this, no anxiety driven mechanic to make us play more, Forever Winter did this crap with the water system and it backfired, so no liveservice, mmo crap pls.

yes, wipes have been confirmed. And i think it is ok to do so. Since there will be a lot of new areas and things to discover, and more story to play, it might just be super boring to play all that new content with a maxed out character with full gear.
and since there will be more content i assume there will be more gear as well. so for me personally it is actually more fun to experience all the new content “fresh” and with motivation to farm the new gear, as opposed to just plow through it with a maxed character and without the need to get anything of the new stuff.
I like the idea of legacy, it’s cool, I’ll go over the history of the game from the very beginning again. There is something like this in other action rpg games from the seasons, everything is transferred to the eternal world. And I agree, I will not be interested in passing a pumped-up character.
is it only the char that get wiped or do the upgrades in town and merchents get wiped to ?
not sure, so this is more like speculation territory, but i’d assume there will be one realm where everything is kept (the legacy realm) and the rest might get wiped. but honestly, when there is a wipe, i would want to re built the new realm again anyways. especially if thongs have changed.
those shops are upgraded in no time. probably already done while we explore the new areas.
both realms and characters get locked to pre-update content. that includes merchants and town upgrades.
well if the home has to feel like factorio, i also want to be able to place those mini factories on walls and ceilings…^^ and rock paper scissors approach is a bit too much mobile simplicity in my book

He is not wrong, steam has become really toxic, not only in the No rest foruns, every game that comes out is woke this, dead that, its annoying, i lost my patience there more than once, but i dont have the energy anymore to repeat every argument again and again.

Hi i didnt ready all coments so maybe someone hand a same idea. But what i think is best posiible and most logical way about it is this:
add potion slots, for exmaple two from start with possibility to upgrade to max 5 for example. Add potions like hp instantly, hp regen, stamina etc.
Food should be buffs. Only one buff will be active from last eated food. Buffs like for example, atack damage +10%, defense inceres, faster stamina regen etc. Ofc. everything time limited 5-10min max. And it should be expansive.
I think this is a correct way how to improve it

Adding the concept of a Pubg type of gameplay to an arpg is crazy enough in the EA stage we are now, at least he said thats just a fantasy.
He could add that concept inside the crucible as a mode, you touch that statue and you go to town with other people who enjoy that kind of stuff.

hey guys. there was a huge conversation we had with thomas over on the discord, both today and yesterday, but a lot of it was unrelated / insignificant to wicked so it’ll take time to comb through to get to the good stuff.
i’ll slowly work through it and share everything that we didn’t previously know.
starting with some new UI. subject to change:
as you can see, the ui is a lot smaller, taking up less screenspace.
whilst in co-op, you can see the status of the other players in the realm.
the popup toasts (such as “press Y to dig”) are no longer located at the top of the screen, but are located at the thing you’re interacting with.
also, the area name, weather, and time at the top-right of the screen is slightly different.
EDIT: i think that pickaxe weapon in the first pic is new
