Transmog/Cosmetics/Glamour/Change Clothes Appereance System

Hello! I’ve known the game for quite some time now and I’ve noticed all its ups and downs and its evolutions along the way. The changes that have been applied have made the game better in almost every way, convincing me more and more that it could be a pearl with great potential. I have noticed, however, the lack of a large system to change the appearance of your clothes. I believe that the main mechanic that pushes fantasy games to make them such is immersion, and a similar system would make the game even more personal, pushing players to see themselves even more in the stories they themselves are creating. Don’t get me wrong, the armor sets have a spectacular design, but seeing a fisherman holding a war hammer, well, it doesn’t have its effect hahaha. I’ve also read the topics of other users and many of them seem to agree with my idea. I also heard that the team preferred not to include “Transmography” systems to avoid finding an opponent in PvP with very powerful gear but the appearance of a poor guy. For this, however, a solution was found, that is, to remove (temporarily) the transmography, should you decide to start a PvP fight, or to add a “gear value” above the enemy’s head, so as to understand the difference in power, even if the appearance is different. In short, there would be many solutions to a problem that is blocking one of the mechanics that would give this game the chance it deserves.

Thanks for reading and I wish you a good continuation of your day! :3

I am all for a Transmogrification system and I don’t understand this perspective.

Isn’t part of the excitement of PvP to “Figure out your opponent”? I would think that people dressing differently is a viable system and it’s fine.

If your enemy is wearing full flaming armor but does ice damage then that is ok. Get a few attacks in and weigh out your opponent.

I cannot accept this as a viable perspective. This goes contrary to what PvP actually is.

Even if I’m not a PvP player, I totally understand your point! Taking the time to understand your opponent and his build is a key point of any game with player-versus-player mechanics. At the end of the day, it wouldn’t create any problems for me if they kept the transmog system in duels too! The fear is more for those players who could “abuse” the system to put “rags” on themselves, even if they have powerful armor behind them (but, as previously said, they can surely find solutions that satisfy both visions :3 )
