Throw Axe does 0 damage after Breach Refined update

As per the topic, “Throw Axe” currently does 0 damage as of the release of Breach Refined. The patch notes mentioned there was a fix made to them not scaling properly, so I do not believe it is intended to do zero damage. I have not tested if “Throw Knife” also does 0 damage.

Hello @Emperor ,

We apologize that you are facing this bug. May I ask for your player logs so we can better investigate this issue?

Hi @DmwJake, I can still try to grab the log files if needed, but I would warn that at the time I had made many characters as they were all hardcore, and which specific one I discovered the bug on might be hard to track.

I will say that this bug is easily reproducible with 100% consistency by any player. Before the Breach Refined patch, [throw axe] did a negligible amount of damage but was useful as a fast and low focus tool to keep bosses from recovering their poise. The patch, allegedly, was supposed to buff [throw axe] in some capacity by fixing its scaling. It probably wasn’t going to start doing gigantic amounts of damage, as it is a cheap/fast skill, but after the patch it does 0. Any player/character using this skill will always do no damage, and as @Purromi mentioned, you currently cannot even kill a rabbit with it (and it also has no impact on enemy poise as a result of doing no damage).

I would also like to add that even if it is not a bug that both “Throw Axe” and “Throw Knife” with the cost of 20 Focus deal less damage than an uncharged arrow would have done when it used cost 10 focus, essentially a waste of focus, the only plausible use of these runes is to keep the enemy’s stagger bar high but for 20 Focus it is still Severely Undepowered.

Furthermore, “Throw Axe” and “Throw Knife” are essentially the same, and the only distinguishable difference is the appearance of the thrown object and the name.

I suggest that “Throw Axe” keepes the 20 Focus cost but deals the appropriate damage (similar to the damage of throwable bombs), while “Throw Knife” drops to 10 Focus and deals the appropriate damage (similar to the damage of an uncharged arrow).

Hi

Since the co-op update the Throw Axe rune attack just constantly misses, passes directly through the locked on enemy, or looks like it hits the floor directly in front of the player character. The only way I can get it to consistently hit is to break and reapply the enemy lock-on manually before EACH throw.

Here’s a video of using it multiple times and each one misses completely https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqF02Doazbo

I didn’t have any issues using this skill like this prior to the Together update going live
