The one big almighty Transmog topic

@Silas-Inservio-Pax :eyes:

You desperately need a transmog system. The endgame actually turns me off trying to craft the glamour set I want with the facet I need. I gave up pretty quick after crafting 20+ armor and not getting a single durable facet.

Other options…

Reroll facet on gear.

Break down gear for material back.

Or choose facets. Why is there RNG?

Otherwise you’d have perfect gear too early, which either trivializes the game for experienced players or makes the game too hard for players that don’t know what is optimal

You can balance enemies to the constant player strength. Or you can tie it to some resource, or make it so a weapon can only have so many positive bonuses per weapon.

Still better than rolling for it

I would love it if we’re able to dye our equipment :artist_palette: :paintbrush: good idea

I want a system that’s fast and easy to use, low cost/free and allows using any armor from any weight class and not limiting to changing it between weight classes only. Ideally, I just want vanity armor slots, you drop in the armor you want the look of into the slot, and boom, you have it. Could even have a little checkbox that turns off the appearance of that item so you have the look of what you actually have equipped. Otherwise I’d at least settle with having to go back to Sacrament and spend some copper to change my appearance

My most recent playthrough with a friend has clocked in at around 20 hours, and that’s with barely even touching the crucible or reaching level 30 and playing around in the end game with the plague outbreaks. Add on another 10 hours with all that, and double that for 1.0 and that’s 60 hours easy, not even counting DLC onwards. That’s near and eventually beyond three whole days of my life invested into a game that I’ll have my character on screen for. I want to be able to have them look rad and how I want them to in that time and not have to deal with having mismatched armor that I don’t like the look of because of the nature of this game having loot and thus always switching it out for the next best thing. The loot here is important enough that you can’t just ignore it like you can say for a souls game where ultimately armor doesn’t really matter

Not having easy vanity armor in a single player/co-op game is such a major gripe of mine, just let me look how I want. It’s understandable for PvP as that’s a different case, but for that just disable the vanity armor

Currently in the game, a Transmog system would seem kind of redundant. No Items or gear are locked with specific stats that you can’t get on another gear type.

Having colours and dyes would make sense and would be great as another skill and vendor in the game.

The problems of the facet system should not be covered up with a transmog system. If they ever design equipment to have stats that only that piece can have, then a transmog system may start to make sense. So far that is not the case.
