I watched an interview with Thomas some time back where he mentioned there wasn’t any plan to add transmogs to the game. As someone coming from souls game like DS3 or Elden Ring, where understanding what a certain piece of gear does is part of the gameplay, I applaud that decision.
Now, NRTFW differs from games like Elden Ring in the fact that the loot is randomized. In Elden Ring, drops aren’t that frequent, with even items that you can only get one per playthrough. What I’m trying to say is that Wicked is more inventory management intense than ER.
The thing is Fashion Souls is core part of many people’s gameplay, and right now is a bit difficult to test different fashions. I took some inspiration from the Scribe Table UI. What if you add a mirror object that I can place in my house. And I can try all the different fashions I’ve uncovered in my character.
I should be able to navigate through all the different pieces: Body, Gloves, etc. And build a preview of how my character would look like with all the gear I selected. There should be an option to toggle on/off the Helmet since that option is available in game as of today. I should be able to remove a particular piece. Perhaps, the first option of the list of items could be None. For example, I should be able to see how my character looks without Gloves.
I don’t care much about the weapon preview, but if you decide to add it, I wouldn’t complain about it.
Maybe show me the “Default” Equip Load, Armor and Poise, the same way the screenshot does now. Though this one can create confusion since the item enchantments affect those numbers.
I should be able to spin the character around similar to how it’s possible to do in the Inventory menu.
This change would fall into quality of life, and it’d be probably low priority. But nevertheless, would love to see something like this implemented.
All the best guys, you’re cooking with this game.
