I agree with your statement. This may be a “coercion” made by developers to encourage players to obtain more silver coins. I also understand their intention, but it is a bit early for players to face such things

However, the problem has been solved. As long as you grit your teeth and make some plans, you can obtain the right to purchase a house by solving the second boss (the one in the sewer). This will allow you to create some small boxes to store your items. Thank you for your help and have a pleasant trip

If you can’t do that, then you can make as many realms as you want and store stuff in your storage box. Log out at your storage box, and when you join that realm, you are standing right in front of your storage box.
It is ok to find something on the ground or in a chest without picking it up.
You don’t need to pick everything up!
Alternatively, you can create “mule” characters and join your existing realm. All you need to manage with the new character is reaching a whisper and you can teleport to Sacrament right away.
The devs have talked about this in forums and believe the solution is to let you have a house earlier in the game. A future patch will likely have that.

I faced inventory space issue too before unlocking the house. I would sugest adding 2 or 3 community chast to the botom of the tower and you get access to them when you upgrade the staircase. This way they are also close to vendors.
Same for me, no more space even get full of chests the three houses.
The only game that encourage you to not get the loot. I stopped playing (after 150 hours) until this great issue was solved because with no space to store it’s non sense at all play a loot game.
In poe, grim down, titan quest, sacred and every others “loot game” you dont have unlimited chests. Hello
Yes, you have, for example, BDO, Last Epoch (infinite tabs), etc… In POE you just can buy more and more tabs instead of fill up the world with chest everywhere.

I am(was??) enjoying this game immensely, but after reading this thread, there’s quite obviously some serious issues with the Inventory space!
More accurately, its an issue for the “New to soulslike genre” players , like myself.
This game is hard but enjoyable. What isnt enjoyable is NOT being able to stash ANYTHING you’d like to!!!
Im gonna go n try to kill this 2nd Boss (i didnt know it was the 2nd boss before reading it here) just to buy a house for more storage.
Honestly my fun/enjoyment/optimism…all those nice positive feelings for this game have been cut in half…just like that!!!
Reason is…i know im gonna be screwed trying to kill that 2nd boss…n probably quit the game!! Im gonna assume its harder than that mob inside the “War Room”? Coz that kills me in seconds flat!..

You are in luck: since the last update, you can buy a house right away.
Also the War Room boss is super aggressive and has a really small arena. I think the second boss is much easier (it’s the only boss I didn’t die).
