Definitely want the town npc’s to quiet the hell down. They don’t need to say their one line every single time we walk past them. They either need more lines or to only say their line the first time you pass them each play session or something.

I’d just give them more lines, and quiet noises, like grunts, or coughs, etc. I don’t want them to be silent. I like the noise. I just don’t like the same phrase every time I roll past.
I’d probably also do a WoW city noise background too, with the sounds of indistinct chatter, bells, wood on wood, etc, etc. You know what I mean.
