Simply put, if I see the RNG places me in a room with tiny little platforms in an abyss, I know the run is likely going to end. It’s unplayable.
The amount of distance light dodge covers and the fact this game has input queuing for such a long window often means double dodges right into a falling death.
And this is not something you can simply adapt by not dodging, because in these very small platform rooms you place bruiser enemies or even 2-3 of them that send you rolling across the floor if they hit you, so it’s not like you can just choose to face tank to not fall off to your death.
Please remove these small platform abyss rooms, they’re unplayable for cloth armor wearers. Often the enemy will even lunge at you after you’ve made the jump and are climbing onto the platform, so you are animation locked with the climbing action and the enemy gets a free knockdown hit as you’re stuck climbing up to the platform.
If you’re gonna have small platforms, they need to be in rooms with water or lower floors so instead you fall into the water or suffer small/moderate fall damage instead, not the end of a run because light dodge double queued.
It also makes attacking feel horrible, because some weapons like the Everfrost staff forcefully backslide you and make you dash back at the end of the attack sequence.
