You first make a ridiculous generic enemies for the crypt, with AOE attacks, range attacks and strong ass melee attacks all on one character, who move as fast as you and spam gimmicky unreadable attacks non-stop, 5 rooms to clear all that circus and then you make Embers that you literally can farm 5 an hour if you’re lucky in the endgame, or replay the demo over and over again, who came up with this trash?
It’s ackshually 7 rooms
Man its so easy to get those things that by the time i killed the twins i had more than 150 embers without even trying to farm them, do you really need more? Crucible is such a chore hehehe.
Well I had 2 runs with different characters and each got around 50, so something tells me you spent way more effort than you’re trying to portray
50 Embers per character is more than you ever need. Especially since you still find some in Crucible. Don’t fret, there is no issue here.
Bro you can’t read? I just literally wrote that it’s not enough for me. I don’t want to grind the general area until I get to 30 or copy a cheese strat to run through it, I wanna do it the real way. Even people with over-level and cheese strats are crying that it takes too long to get to boss.
please stay civil and respectful.
the crucible will get some changes, it is not finished in the state it currently is.
“will get some changes” doesn’t help anyone who’s playing now, does it.
I’m only interested in Crucible now because it’s the only thing left to beat in the demo, other than that the whole idea if it’s gonna be the way it is - is boring. Difficulty for the sake of difficulty.
afaik the crucible will be getting some rogue like features, like picking up perks on/after each floor etc.
and the game is in early access, so it is obviously not finished. sure, that might not help now, but there is still no need to be harsh to others, trying to help. everyone can voice their opinion and frustration, but as always, the way you voice your opinion matters.
It’s literally optional, and I’m not saying this in a gatekeeping manner I mean it’s literally optional there is nothing pushing you to beat it besides yourself you are the only thing throwing yourself at a steel wall. All I’m hearing here is whining about the enemy’s moveset when it literally borrows from the overworld which you played already. The farming of embers is literally playing the game, so play the game, you get anywhere from 10-20 every zone(Nameless Pass, Orban Glades, Mariner’s Keep) that you clear which does not take an hour so you’re just lying. Stop just killing enemies then leaving and go open the chests.
It’s quite obviously built as an endgame dungeon, an ARPG concept that has existed for decades, give some actual constructive feedback. You say they’re generic enemies but then you’re getting your ass handed to you by let’s check flips page a nith assassin which appears at Tier 1 of the world, flips page a knight which appears at oh look at that also Tier 1 & Tier 2, flips page again and a torn beast which appears in the war room but say they have these uber special qualities, well which is it? Literally Nobody is telling you to grind to level 30 or run a cheese strat, but it’s your own fault in an ARPG if you’re getting stomped on the whole, just try to actually make a build
So a guy completely ignoring my point and leaving absolutely pointless comment is trying to help you’re saying? Come on now.
you can state all you points without being harsh and offensive. what’s the point in yelling at each other?
i do agree, that some targeted farming would help the game, not only with embers and crucible, but also with items, weapons etc. but to have a constructive discussion i remind you again to be respectful. otherwise i will flag your posts, and nobody wins.
there have been some good suggestions about targeted farming here: I question the choice of random drops - #6 by Chemile0n
right now, as others have stated, getting ambers is no issue. i have a whole chest full of them, and i did not mindlessly grind, i just did some bounties and daylies and opened chests on the way, or dug up dirt piles, while getting materials for the sacrament building projects.
and i have not encountered any enemy yet in 60+ hours of playtime, that does all what u say at once (“AOE attacks, range attacks and strong ass melee attacks”). every enemy in the crucible, can be encountered in the world and has a fixed move set. all enemy attacks can be read and countered or worked with/around.
we tried to list solutions, tips and help, and shared our experience. that is in no way grounds to insult or attack people!
again. please stay respectful.
Yes I know every attack you’re talking about: (AOE attack = rock wave, range attack = the fire spell, strong ass melee attacks??? = their regular moveset). The rock wave & the fire spell are unique but if you truly have spent all FIFTY embers on you and you can’t figure out how to dodge either one that is entirely on you. Build crafting can make this game easy if you’re both smart & lucky but it is also entirely possible to as the souls community says “git gud” I gitted gud and it took me 10-15 hours for my 1st Echo kill.
The reason I’m so emphatic about it being an endgame dungeon is they’re all clearly elites so treat them as such. These aren’t bum mobs that you can kill by breathing on them, act like they’re a threat. I’m calling you out on whining because there are 3 rooms where the very first enemy is a 1-1 with a knight. So if you can’t learn that moveset that is entirely on you and the knights are the only upgraded enemy; the nith assassins & red witches are the exact same as the overworld. If you want tips we’re here, if you’re just here to vent then don’t expect us to applaud you.
I share your sentiment in not liking the crucible in its current iteration albeit for different reasons.
As you are interested in getting embers more easily in the current version of the game. I would suggest checking the general merchant and possibly creating multiple realms to purchase embers from him.
I understand that this is not a ‘good’ or ‘ideal’ solution but, it is one that might help you currently; even if just a little. It is possible that you are already doing this, but I wouldn’t know that.
and i have not encountered any enemy yet in 60+ hours of playtime
Are you aware that I’m talking about Crucible? It sounds like you have chest full of ambers because you haven’t even tried to play it. Every “knight” enemy in crucible has range AOE, range single target attack as well as all the melee attacks and jump/charge attack, it seems like you’re commenting about something you have no idea about.
well i would be cautious to assume things about people. i have in deed done multiple crucible runs.
again, as others stated before, the enemies in the crucible can be encountered in the main world. yes, crucible versions are stronger, but in my experience in no way, that you could not handle them.
and as i said, i got my chest full of embers, by doing quests and things the game offered (daily quests, bounties, building projects, going with other characters through the story etc), without just running around grinding. to make things easy, i have 1 main realm, where i store all items, and go to regularly with my characters.
i probably used up around 50-60 embers, even tho, in all fairness, 15 of them to respec one of my characters.
sure, enemies have some strong attacks, but there are multiple ways to deal with them with a variation of different builds. you can block, parry, strafe, dodge, space out etc. you can also use rune attacks to your advantage, poise break and so on. sure, some builds have more issues clearing crucible than others, but it is in no way impossible. just upgrade your weapon to max and get some decent armor and u are fine.
be mindful about your build and which items to use, observe enemies, play strategically and don’t get greedy. that’s (in my opinion) all it needs.
There’s no tip you can give me except for find those few weapons that have adequate animations and big damage. Like daggers I used are trash - I upgraded from T2 to T3 and literally no change in damage for Crucible, but as a bonus you can fall off edges during combos, there’s barely any control on direction between hits and they even parry with delay.
I’ve seen a couple weapons that looked like they could be OP, like a 2h axe, but one char is full dex leather armor, and another is str-dex with 2h swords/spears, so I was stuck with other weapons that don’t work that well. And a suggestion to dip the light character to make that one char with 2h axe and lightning attack (or whatever it’s called) is not really a suggestion that would prove me doing something wrong, but that the game is flawed and needs a lot of change with the weapon mechanics and animations.
one of the strongest builds currently is a dagger built. with my dagger built i get to EK with almost no issues (except not being careful and falling off). use synergies with enchanted items. there are various options:
HP on hit, focus on hit, reflect dmg, on parry (even tho i dislike that one personally) etc. combining that with rune attacks is super powerful. there are runes that allow you to heal on hit, which is ridiculous with daggers (u basically never have to heal).
further combining daggers with suitable rings is also very powerful.
don’t get me wrong, there are still lots of mechanics to be improved, but those are all discussed in their respective threads. in my humble opinion, embers and the enemies in the crucible are no issue and manageable, altho not optimal in the current state.
You write a lot of general words of no substance, which daggers are you talking about? Which of 2 duals or maybe 1h?
Thanks for telling me what stats are in the game, to upgrade weapons etc - I probably didn’t know even though I wrote I cleared the game twice on different characters with different gear and weapons. And mentioning damage on parry - one of the most useless stats out there.
And, as I wrote before, you writing how easy it is for you means nothing because for all I care you might be just fantasizing like many people do in comments. Throw a link to your gameplay or just quit it.
i could surely give u a screenshot of my built and also link some gameplay, but i do not feel the need to prove to anyone that i indeed have capable builds, and there are a variety of strategies that work. i also see not point in showing you how i clear crucible, since as u said, it does not matter if we all find it doable, as u are still struggling (apparently).
again we were just trying to help and give you suggestions to improve your built, but whatever we do, you reply with a very aggressive tone.
i really do not understand, how you think it is helpful to talk to everyone here in such a tone and just assume we are all “fantasizing” tings.
again, please stay respectful. i really won’t remind you of this again.
