Suggestion: More Immersive NPC Side Quests

Immersive NPC Side Quests

Wicked currently has Main Quests, Daily Quests and Weekly Quests. I would like some more Side Quests from the various NPCs.

There are some posts already on this subject but I wanted to expand on those:

There are also other topic’s that touch upon this issue but not dedicated topics.

What triggers these Side Quests?

  • World Events & Tiers.
  • Shop Upgrades
  • Boss Kills
  • Zone Changes
  • Etc.

Side Quest Examples

Below are some examples of possible Side Quests for various NPCs

Mira & Meri’s missing Loom

Description: Mira & Meri ordered a new loom for their expended shop. The caravan that was supposed to deliver the loom should have arrived 3 days ago. They asked you to go and investigate.

To-Do: Turns out the caravan was attacked by the risen and the PC has to defeat some enemies and a miniboss.

Rewards: The PC gains Mira & Meri’s old loom, some crafting resources and some gold.

A Fisherman’s lost equipment

Description: One of the fisherman in Sacrament decided to go fishing in the woods below Sacrament since Warrick has been defeated. However, he was attacked by some weird fish creatures and fled. In his hurry he forgot his equipment and wants you to retrieve them.

To-Do: Some Siren enemies have to be defeated and the PC can reclaim the fisherman’s lost equipment.

Rewards: The fisherman shares some of his lures to catch specific types of fish more easily.

Whittacker’s Big Order

Description: Maker Danos has been busy upgrading various locations in Sacrament and as a result Whittacker can’t keep up with the crafting orders.

To-Do: Whittacker asks the PC to craft him some specific furniture items.

Reward: Whittacker gives the PC a uniquely decorated wooden bed.

The Madrigal’s Salvation

Description: Ever since Madrigal Seline left Sacrament a certain NPC has been feeling a little less zealous and shouty. She was wondering if the PC could bring her a religious book from the Madrigal herself so she can preach to Sacrament once again.

To-Do: The PC has to travel to the encampment at the end of the Nameless Pass and find the correct religious book. There will be various books but only one of them will reignite her zealotry to even grander heights.

Rewards: Rewards vary depending on which book was brought to her. Ranging from some decorative religious candles to a holy altar which allows the PC to pray to for a buff.

Final Words

I’m mostly hoping for some unique quest rewards, memorable quests and more NPC interactions that bolster the immersive elements of Wicked.

Thanks for reading!

I concur with this so hard. I know this game is more ARPG inspired so side quests matter less but it really does feel like in this case the game would hugely benefit more from NPC interaction & stories. I feel much more like I’m playing Fable or Dragon Age than I am playing a hack-and-slash so the immersion really hits & not having some sidequests where I get to know people better feels off
