I assume like many people playing this game, we want to create the most powerful build we can which suits our play style. Meta/OP builds are always going to be the end result of this process. People are always looking for some advantage. Some smart guy always figures out, despite the best efforts of the devs, to create combinations which results in something better and more powerful than other builds. Some weapons, gear and play styles are just better than others. People are going to gravitate towards them.
I think that they need to balance the game but like some other games they could allow players to be more OP in the regular PvE where it doesn’t affect anyone else and make sure no one has a clear advantage in PvP. Some other games have managed to successfully to create this balance between the PvE and PvP.
Even now, Elden Ring still has some builds which can one shot the Elden Beast but that build won’t work in PvP. I’m cool with OP builds in PvE but I’m not cool with anyone having a clear advantage in PvP.
I’m glad there are more open-minded people on the forum. Soulslike fans never get out of their ideas. If you are not like them you have no right to play. Exactly, as long as I can play my way without bothering anyone, what’s the problem? As long as it doesn’t affect PvP, I don’t see a problem with anything.
Any builds that make the game playable while sleeping are not healthy. Future content will be balanced around it so you’ll be forced to use it whether you want to ir not. It doesn’t help that it’s extremely easy to build to, requires little effort.
Do you think it is too easy to build a build in which you have to enchant each piece 20 times until you get what you are looking for? oh really? If you tell me that there is a broken weapon that kills enemies in one hit, I understand… That’s where I’m getting at with not being able to nerf everything. And, I repeat, if you are looking for balance, not everything is a nerf. You have to go in both directions.
You are contradicting yourself. You say that it is not difficult to get an OP build and then you say that it is very tedious since it is a lottery and may require 100 attempts… That is not an easy thing…
Yes, that would be the way to go, if you like any of those weapons he has for sale. I’m not a fan of those weapons in his shop though. I wish they would expand what he sells or make more blueprints for other weapons available. My favourite weapons have all come from the crucible.
It is something for which you need a lot of money, time and patience. If you get a benefit in return, that’s fine with me. Just like someone who kills a difficult boss to obtain a legendary weapon. Whoever doesn’t want it can continue their game without wasting time, money and patience. It would be different if you could go to the blacksmith to directly buy one-hit kill equipment.
