Steam deck performance drop

So I have played Wicked for over a year and have about 220 hours in the game at this point. A little while ago I took a break from it in wait of further content updates so I haven’t been logged in for a couple months. But today I wanted to play some and I couldn’t believe the performance. When I played through the game I really felt like it was well balanced for the type of game and the hardware that the steam deck has, but now it is completely unplayable. Is this because of what version of proton that I’m using or is the performance drop due to updates to the game?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Fiskpinnar,

There is currently a nasty bug going around where your main Realm takes a nosedive in performance no matter what.

Could you try and confirm that?

• please make a new Realm and see if your issues are gone now
• if that is the case, I would really like some files from you! They are outlined here: How to Properly Report Bugs!

• Users have also reported that just switching between Realms will already better things!
