Steam deck OLED bad performance

Hi

I got a steam deck oled recently and i’ve been trying to make Wicked work smoothly past Marine’s Keep.

after reaching sacra, the game becomes a hot mess and nearly unplayable with decent graphics (Even using the newest FSR4 doesn’t do much) :

  • Choppy textures
  • Massive input lag (0.6sec between hitting something and the intended interaction)
  • Coated swords and using wands is nearly impossible (doubles the choppiness and input lag)

All different sets of settings have been tried.

Thanks in advance :smiley::heart:

Hmm i havent had those problems… what framerate are you playing at?

I got it fixed recently, i was playing on a very old save (used to play on pc)

After using a fresh save the problem got solved

I am having the same issues as the OP. I have not played in about 2 months and have gotten a Steam Deck during the time between as well.

I just installed NRFTW on my Steam Deck in preparation for the new update coming next week and started experiencing this issue. The issue is happening on all 4 of my existing realms I have had (I am at about 225 hours played both before and after the Breach update).

The lag issue is also happening on my PC which I found out after trying some testing from advice I got on the Discord channel. The FPS is reporting at a solid 60+ on my PC but it is seriously lagged the same as the Steam Deck.

Of note, I tried starting a new Realm and that works perfectly on both PC and Steam Deck. I would hope I don’t have to fully discard my old realms though to keep playing.

PC Specs if that is helpful:

Ryzen 5800X3D

32GB RAM

RTX-4070

I should maybe also mention that my older realms take a good 2-5 minutes to load from the menu screen. A newly created realm loads almost instantly.
