I’m not one of the people with tons of experience with the game (got some modest 70~ish hours in it), but my 2 cents about the Stats & newly presented idea for Jobs is that Jobs will apply boundaries to the player’s choices (again?).
Isn’t it nice to instead of getting Jobs from FF Tactics, to get something similar to what Elder Scrolls have - let us play with X weapon and we raise skill (bar) level in that specific weapon (or skill) and this gives us more power with it.
This will 1st eliminate the “you chose that class/job - if you want to play differently, start a new one” or “go respec” (which is too simple and not very believable - yes, it does the job, but I don’t know).
Again, that’s just me and my thoughts. I’m sure Thomas and the rest of the team already thought about similar thing/system, but I just wanted to mention it here.
