Hi. Im new to the game, i have almost 20 hours playing and i’d like to share my thoughts regarding some topics.
- During early and mid game, focus gain can feel nonexistant. Too many actions are required to have a proper focus gain/generation and this is not fun. I understand you could want to force players to not spam rune attacks but there should be some sort of middle ground. Either every weapon is just a rune holder for spaming rune skills or we feel rune skills are used every few minutes. Also, some traits feel far too mandatory.
- Block and parry. I dont get why we can parry with any weapon and shield but we cannot block with any weapons. I get shield should be the most efficient at it but it doesnt mean a claymore could not get the job done.
- Fall damage is sick. its too realistic. Sometimes the time it takes traveling is quite long, reduced fall damage could offset this travel time.
Parry refills 100+modifiers of focus.
i agree. i believe focus should be full on spawn, not empty. as well, waypoint should regenerate heath AND focus. to punish mage build by making them melee to build focus is bad. if a wizard goes into battle, he has a full tank.
As already mentioned, Parry is quite strong when it comes to focus gain.
Furthermore, with Elenor, you can enchant your gear relatively early and swap enchantments with Fallen Embers and, of course, use gems to increase your focus gain.
I would also like to be able to block with weapons, but the damage that goes through would have to be higher than with shields. And with shields, the damage is already so high that blocking with a weapon would hardly be worth it. But let’s see, with the new mechanics, like staggering and flinching at enemies, there might be potential in the future.

Moon Studios said that replenishing health/focus on whispers only works with enemy respawns to prevent you from simply killing an enemy and then going back to the whisper and then to the next enemy like ping-pong.
