Feedback after 80 hours

First of all, i am loving the new content, OST and all the hard work the devs put into the project, and i cannot wait to play the full game on release. All the feedback i will provide is just MY experience. I will try to provide some alternative fix or throw some ideas and see what sticks

First thing i want to talk about, is enemy stagger mechanic, or poise.

  • Enemy posture takes too long to break, especially on shielded or big enemies, as you have to dodge their very long combos most of the time and you rarely have enough stamina left to apply some pressure and keep the bar up and filled. A simple solution might be to just increase the “cooldown” of when their poise starts to go down, or simply increase the poise damage of all our attacks.

  • Stamina consumption is a bit too harsh in the early game, and especially so if you are a new player and don’t know the enemy movesets that well, you will just roll all the time. Maybe consider tuning down the stamina consumption a little bit.

  • Mage builds are hard to make, especially in the early game. While i do like that you have to be aggressive in order to charge up some Focus to throw some spells, I think this might be an issue for new wannabe mages that think they can just grab a staff and throw spells. Maybe consider increasing the focus regeneration on hits with staves and wands, or reduce the focus required to throw fireballs and stuff at enemies… OR…

  • Spending points on Focus should increase the amount of focus you gain on hits and actions, not just the overall quantity of focus available. This would in some way make it so mages that dump points on Focus are not left behind in stats since they will also have to increase a bunch of equipment load, stamina, health, and THEN intelligence/faith to grab the weapons they want. It’s far too much investment, and Focus right now feels like a liability in buildmaking at least at lower to mid levels.

  • Equipment load is too extreme, you can barely dress up (again, especially at the beginning) and be on heavy load immediately. Now i will say that in Wicked is not that much of an issue to be in heavy load, but sometimes you want to play a mage/archer/assassin type of character and almost everything you wear or that looks somewhat cool is super heavy for some reason. Either reduce equipment load across the board for armour pieces that do not come with huge armor or plates, or increase the overall equipment stat on player a little bit, as right now it feels too restrictive.

  • Remove timers, especially on city upgrades. This is something i never said too much, and never bothered me too much… but this keeps coming up when people provide feedback and reviews on Steam, i think at this point it should be pretty clear that people don’t really like this mechanic, and don’t want to wait 3 hours + to upgrade a building, alting their progress at times (it happened to me, for example, and i had to stop, close the game and wait 3 hours). It makes the game grindy and less enjoyable. This should not be a mobile game.

  • The Riven Twin boss fight has a bit too many delays in their attacks, there is one in particular that is very hard to read, so much so that i thought it was a glitch, as the movement is extremely innatural.

(will add this as extra, but i legit cannot drop any weapon that fits my build AT ALL, i am legit using a staff that i found on Mariner’s keep and killed 4 story bosses already and got to the new zone with still that weapon. I don’t know what’s up with the gear drops, but i’m not having too much fun with that so far, as i cannot test the new weapons too much.)

I will try to update this list as i think of a few stuff while playing (still finishing the new zone, going slowly)
