Hey,
I’m not entirely sure where I should turn to with this, so I thought I’d write a post where I’ll put my notices on the Polish localization of the game.
So first of all: Crow Ring

in english version the description says “Drain Health in Combat” and in polish there is “Wysysaj zdrowie w walce” which translates in theory the same, but in Polish the word “wysysaj” (drain) is in the imperative mood (like YOU drain), and the version that would say that it is the object that drains is “wysysa” (without letter “j” at the end)
2nd, a lot of (almost all if not all I think) body armours are translated as “[material] Ciało Zbroja”, what if translated word by word it would also be correct (body-ciało, armour-zbroja), but when you say body in Polish you only think of body from feet to head so construction as a whole (or corpse), so words for “body armour” is not used that way, instead we just say “zbroja” (armour).
3rd but it is not really that importand, most of nouns in Polish have a masculine or feminine form and the adjective that refers to it must also follow this form, so (if I was talking about armor i will continue using it as example) “zbroja” in Polish is a feminine form, so if I want to say that it is a leather armor, I won’t say “skóra (which is a noun in this declension, by the way) zbroja (armor)”, but rather “skórzana zbroja” (feminine form) or “skórzany” (masculine form, e.g. “skórzany hełm” - leather helmet). Ofc I know it is a lot of not so important work so I know it probably won’t be changed until much later.
I don’t think all of it is that important in that stage of development, and I think you will
spend time on translations before 1.0 version, but I want just give some notes 4 the future, so you know where is still place for improvements.
P.S. I just start a new save playing Polish version (idk if i miss it earlier or it came in some of recent updates) so I may add some more in the future, but if you don’t need them right now, I can refrain from cluttering the forum ![]()
P.P.S. Game is great and I’m happy to see as it’s getting better with each update.
