Just realized I was using a shield that I don’t meet the requirements for but it still blocks all the damage of enemy attacks. I’m assuming this is an oversight of making weapons equipable to test movesets and although the damage stat(s) were set correctly, defense wasn’t.

I think you wont get that bonus armor blocking, you can use it but the armor wont add to yours. Not the poise too. The horrible thing is to think that no one gets the bonus now, since you test it and my dumb self didnt read beyond the title, sorry hehehe.
It does because I’m playing in a deadly zone for my level 9 character there where enemies close to 1 shot me but if I block they do little to no damage.
