Question : how does the main shield stat work (for blocking I guess)?

Hello, each shield has an inherent stat with a shield icon. The better the shield the better this stat. I initially thought it was the percentage reduction while blocking but this stat can go beyond 100… so does anyone know what this stat means ?

Is it added armor while blocking ? What about blocking elemental damage ?

It is added armor only active when blocking, you are correct there.

Blocking elemental damage is as far I know a combination of your resistances and armor.
