Since the patch, it feels next to impossible to upgrade any gear that requires materials that are NOT ores/bars, even at tier 1. For example, cloth equipment requires “Jute Garments” which are basically an RNG drop, I am now level 10, still have to drop a single one… Cannot upgrade any cloth gear at all.
Mesh/Plate stuff requires ore/bars, which are farmable, leather is a bit more difficult, but most rats/animals drop it… but Garments are non-existent, so is wool, humanoids just keep dropping coins (money) or equipment, but not materials
I’d like to think the material aspects for the game still has long way to go, if they want to go that way. And I’m pretty sure they want to, since they want to add farming and such. For resources, I think among the resources available at the moment, the one that has no natural source is clothing. And I doubt they miss this, especially since they have farming in mind. So in the future, I think there will be resource-specific plants that drops this like cotton plant. It’s just not ready enough to be put in the EA.
That would be good I think, its a way to not “shower us with resources” but rather allow some form of conversion, its essentially “opportune cost” of selling an item… but as it is, cloth is impossible
