Reduce max level for the time being

So, we’ve been enjoying broken builds and glitching the bosses with overleveled characters.

When respeccing hits should the player levels be capped at around 21?

I think we cant provide accurate feedback on difficulty when players are so overpowered compared to the current content available.

Or should the tier (lvl21) 3 gear be unattainable atm?

Thoughts?

I don’t see a reason to lower it. You can always just stop adding points or only upgrade gear to tier 2 if you want.

Yeah the broken build showcases don’t represent the struggles of the avarage guy. I only managed to kill echo knight at level 29.

So it would be the opposite for me:
Give people the opportunity to grind levels when their skill isnt on par.

I think the issue is some broken builds like the machine-gun daggers. There aren’t enough affixes and there is limited control over enchanting.

I don’t wanna complete the game with w/e is meta. I want to clear the game with my favorite looking gear, weapon, fantasy roleplay idea and use runes that look cool.

I don’t think reducing the max level solves anything, the issue is some affix/rune interactions that perma stagger bosses with no cd. It removes the ‘‘precision combat’’ from the game.

No, the whole point of these games is to become OP.

Yes that is one of my favorite things in a game. Sometimes I don’t have the time or will to experiment with proper builds or weapons Strategies to kill things. Ill come back with 20 bombs and try again =D

The whole point of EA is to flush out imbalances, Why would you want to reduce max level? If anything, I would be introducing top level gear to see how the performance (numbers) works out.

What do you think the studio is doing? They’re reading the logs to see whats working and whats not while the game is live, you can’t reproduce this type of activity in a studio.

Was just a thought, with my level 30 character I just steamroll every normal mob. I’d like them still to provide a challenge.

I understand gear matters a lot. And dont know if the extra 27 ability points matter that much.

(ha) level 30 and he’s complaining there’s no challenge, well yeah, Start a new toon or wait till the full game is dropped.

I don’t see the need for a level cap, but rather to improve the scaling of mobs even more along with progression

Exactly. Something in line of this.

I think the main contradiction is that the difficulty of developing weapon affixes is very steep. There is no turning back. Strengthening it into an unwanted entry means that money and time to get the weapon are wasted. And after knowing this premise, because Don’t dare to strengthen for fear of wasting strengthening materials. You can only strengthen the weapon by getting the affixes that come to mind first.
