I realized yesterday that Realms could be more than just a mechanic for Multiplayer purposes.
I finished twice the Main Story with 2 different characters and builds.
On my first character I unlocked all the vendors upgrades to their maximum.
On my second character, new Realm, I just bought or gave anything that I needed for my second character to the second one.
What took me 20 hours in the first run, took me 5 hours in the second.
I placed my second character in the first Realm inside the house where all my storages are. Meaning that each time I had my bags full I could just switch to the first Realm and empty them out, do some repairs or upgrade if necessary.
Then I ran into some money and resources issues due to intensive upgrades.
I realized that if I created a third Realm I could get easy money, resources, crafting materials.
In fact if you redo the first portion of the game, the first boss area, which takes about 40 min, you get about 20 to 30 Food, 20 to 30 Silver, a bunch of gems, plus, the Cerim upgrade.
And this where the Cerim upgrades farm popped out.
It takes about 5 min to rush from the beginning of a new Realm, kill the first boss with a level II weapon and give your first Plagued Ichor to the old man.
Do that enough time and in about an hour you will have all the Cerim upgrades unlocked.
An other point about Realms management.
Each time you progress in the Main Story you get new enemies, new drops, etc …
If you create multiple Realms and progress them at different points in the Main Story you can then farm gear and chests from each specific phases.
