Will the progress be saved on the release?
I doubt it? There may be parts of the first chapter that they are holding back for release. I can think of multiple areas that scream for added content, like all of the trap doors in towers, lit grates with locks that could be opened, etc.
At least that is what I hope is the case like Baldur’s Gate 3 did.

Yeah I’m all good with making a new character for full release, partly because right now I have way too many meals and some stuff is op. I’d love to go through it with everything properly balanced and I don’t want them holding back on making big needed changes just because some of us want to keep our progress.

Yes, hopefully they aren’t going to be releasing 1/3 of the game to us in EA, either. I would like to have most of it to experience along with everyone else on release. I played Act I so many times in BG3…
