As the title suggests, I bought the game and started playing. It runs smoothly for about one minute before it begins to slow down every couple of seconds. I’ve checked drivers, updates, compatibility settings, tried the -dx11 launch option, and pretty much every fix suggested on YouTube or the forums, but the issue still persists.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hey Francisco_Bofill,
So my immediate thought is overheating, can you check that with a program like Core Temp?
How is your performance in the beta compared to live? (you can switch to beta via steam library → Properties → Betas → select Experimental and let it patch
Have you done any over or underclocking?
Are these performance issues only acting up in NRFTW or other games as well?
Silas
Hey Silas,
Thanks for the reply. I downloaded Core Temp and tested a couple of other games (Ghost of Tsushima and Sea of Thieves).
It looks like you were right — with NRFTW it goes all the way up to 100°. The question now is: could something in my settings be making it heat up faster? With the other games it stays around 80°–90°.
My laptop is completely stock — I haven’t done any overclocking.

Alright at least you now know where the problem originates!
I’m not a tech support guy unfortunetely, you will have to do some troubleshooting yourself.
Here is for reference mine:
Laptops in general get a bit hotter, so if you reach between 60 and 70c that should be fine as well.
90-100c is definetely on the high side!
I’m sorry I can’t help you any further with this.
Silas
