Obviously my other post was a joke, but I just wanted to make sure the devs are aware there’s still a good number of people facing performance issues (if not worse than before) with good hardware. If it helps, I’m using an RTX 4090, i9 13900k, 32 GB of RAM, and the game is installed on an SSD.
I’ve tried pretty much everything there is to remedy it. Game is capped at 120 (tried capping at other numbers too), tried Vsync in-game on and off, Vsync off in-game and on in Nvidia Control Panel - which is what I usually do by default, tried messing with Process Lasso (setting to ‘High’), turned Dynamic Resolution Scaling both on and off, swapped from Full Screen Exclusive to Windowed, and restarting the game or program. Probably a couple of other things I did too, but they escape me at the moment. The only thing I’ve not done is uninstall and reinstall the game.
Framerate is usually good…all over the place, but decent enough. Ranges from the 60s to 100s…ocasionally in the 50s during cutscenes; stays mostly in the 70s and 80s overall. But it stutters all the same, persistently.
There was still traversal stutter and stutter when going into a new area even before this latest patch, but now it’s worse than before for me and seemingly others. I’m not sure how widespread the issue is but I’ve seen a few threads on the Steam community and here mentioning that it’s worse for them too.
Haven’t seen many dev responses, so hopefully they know what’s up. Hopefully they’re aware that performance is still quite shoddy.
Love the game though. Greatly looking forward to seeing how it progresses. The only thing marring my experience is the stuttering. Other than that, best game I’ve played in quite some while.
EDIT: I can confirm that the latest Nvidia 552.44 driver did nothing.
