Make mobs’ speed -25% slower,
Put a well in each city so you can replenish your health for free!
Well, u can do that if you go to the cavern (to sleep in one of the beds) or if you build a bed in ur Player-house and sleep in it,it will also grad a health-buff after standing up again. Also there is a Rune that will heal you in the cost of Focus. Hope this helps
because embers ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ‘RARE’ (their description says that much), and even now they drop out of every chest you loot ?
I haven’t left Mariner’s Keep on my first hotfix 3 playthrough, and I had 12 embers in my pocket.
But it required some going-off-the-beaten-path to get them (that dreaded ‘grind’..)
[UPDATE] on my second attempt my lvl 6 character had 12 embers when he got reached Sacrament, having done some free-roam in the Orban Glades. 12 embers at this point felt rare enough, so it seems the first time I simply got very lucky
and i was scared u guys started your fight club again
Yeah them thinking about changing out the level system as in a whole overhaul to cater to self adopted ignorance is beyond me.
If people brick their characters from putting all their points in to dexterity when making a two handed weapon build. that’s on them, there is icons and clear descriptions telling you what your weapons will benefit from.
to go in overhaul the leveling is just insane, they should put a reallocate skills option of sorts. AKA “Potion of Dumbness” in the shops to buy and call it a day.
The “vocal majority” is what people listen to in any case. The minority has to deal with it. You don’t like it? Fine, make your voice heard, or just leave; that’s also viable.
I’m not trying to talk down to you, tbh. I’m also not agreeing with some changes, but it is what it is. Unless we get more and more people to agree with us, we’ll just be noise in the back.
You don’t run a business responsible for the livelihoods and careers of 90 people. You can be dismissive and not care, since the cost to you will be minuscule to nonexistent.
But to them, each unaddressed frustration, legitimate or not, translates into corresponding steam reviews. Reviews that determine whether more people buy the game or not.
So it does matter to them to reduce friction and “bricking” characters because when even bad players stop playing and post a negative review or tell friends, that’s income and word of mouth an indie studio is not getting.
And they are indie, with the enormous expense of having bought their publishing rights back. They are right to care about not alienating most casual players.
I want the game to have a feature that prevents equipment from being accidentally sold or dismantled.
What was improved on the bounties menu? I have the same UI as before the patch, and my bounties and challenges are not refreshing at all.
yeah, I got a little too excited without even testing the latest changes extensively.
And I feel I owe the dev team an appology for presuming I know their ‘creative vision’ better than they do.
I put some more hours into hotfix 3 and I must say it feels mostly ok. On a fresh start my lvl 6 character got to 12 embers upon reaching Sacrament, and it felt ‘rare enough’
99 item stack size might seem OP at first, but then there is a stack count limit (how many item slots you have in your inventory). And since weapons and armor do not stack, you still need to visit the Plague Ichor guy to be able to carry more stuff around.
Making dodge stamina cost irrespective of your weight class might seem controversial at first, but the higher your class, the slower (and closer) you dodge - giving your opponent more time to react.
Kudos to the team for finding elegant and ‘grounded’ solutions for community-raised problems.
I must say I’ve underestimated their commitment to keeping the whole experience consistent while trying to make players happy.
Like with Danos’ workers - instead of just slashing the construction time in half, they’ve introduced a whole new game system, allowing players to speed things up by commiting resources. Players get an incentive to go out, explore the world, and do some grind. Or simply spend their extra on.
Super cool - keep up the good work
I second that. Archer is one of my favorite lightweight classes and i like the idea that for the new version of classes, inspired by FFTactics, using a bow would be possible as a main, and even more, mabe using a “pet” that tanks enemies while we DPS, like the hunter of WOW wrath of the lich king.
I understand that it’s not great to allow player to shoot everything from far, staying safe, but it surely can be equilibrated in a way, like for example some enemies will run at the player when he try to take distance, or even some would dodge or block arrows, pushing the player to get closer and use the secondary weapon, like a hunter knife.
Giving an ability to shoot from relative safety would beg to balance it by adding cons, but i guess you are also having the same dilema with other range weapons like magic staffs / wands, so adding enemies behaviours to add more challenge to this kind of gameplay could (mabe) allow some players to play their range class fantasy more fully
PS: I love the direction the game is taking, and i thank the entire team for all the hard work you put, and the courage for the social media part.
My performance issues disappeared after I changed the game to run as admin in the steam games folder much much faster startup aswell.
having completed the game and cleared all zones from pestilence 2 times on max difficulty and having completed Crucible 5 times, I can sum it up more reservedly.
Legendary rings change the gameplay, legendary weapons did not give me a reason to use them. I am very sorry that I could not join the crafting as I do not like it, gems are good but there are few of them. Runes - to understand how they work, specifically the moveset needs focus, I do not have a focus for it, I need points so I did not use it, as well as magic. I did not use the bow as it is unnecessary.
I am tired of daily quests, they are useless. I do not like that food restores flat HP and there are no new recipes, I eat 3-5 times in a row. percent plus flat would be great
The bosses are not too difficult, and the pestilence bosses are in inconvenient locations and can crap the entire zone or throw you off and completely heal.
I used all the weapons that drop, I’m interested in the moveset, but the requirements for the characteristics are too high, I can’t use more than 1 weapon.
as a result, I want to say that continue to do what you want, improve the mechanics based on your impressions, and most importantly, make the start more convenient, give weapons, because of the completely random loot I was left without a weapon and I had to kill the first boss with kicks.
the main thing i miss is a quick teleport to the “bonfire” (although dying works) restoring hp at the “bonfire” and focus. if i had focus i could experiment more. also make the game more understandable many mechanics are not described
I wanna play archer!!! XD
There is any release date for Hotfix 4?
