Parry Indicator

The parry system is really cool but it frustrating as hell. There are attack that you can parry and those that can’t be parried. And no way to tell them apart, or when it’s possible.

THE GAME NEEDS A PARRY INDICATOR !!!

Something small like a shield appearing on the enemy when the parry window is open. There is already a lock on icon. Make it turn into a shield like this for example when you can parry the attack:

Would be better to know when you cant parry, however i shouldn’t be here because i would have that indicator off in settings and i usually use “cant parry” drawback on my gloves to not be able to missclick the button :rofl:

But i hope you get an indicator for un-parryable attacks atleast :grin:

the timing for when the indicator for an attack should appear? is a question i have for you.

Projectiles (arrows, magic, Boulders), Charges, Shield hits (the ones that push you without doing damage) and attacks the come from the terrain are not Perryable, Everything else is.

An icon that appears at the right time is intrusive and makes the perry much less interesting and difficult.

You can play the entire game without Perry, it’s a mechanic designed to reward “hardcore” players (DEVs’ words, not mine).

So making it easier to execute would be a betrayal of its purpose.

After reading a rumored class thread - indicators for parriable attacks may become class specific… Rather than a functional toggle feature.
