"Only Elemental Gem"

“Enchantment Power Increased if its the only elemental gem”.

Does this mean only elemental Gem on that item or only elemental gem on any item? My suggestion is to make this much more clear. It is confusing. I got this picture from a Reddit post that is way longer than it needs to be with people testing and arguing what it means or what the developers have said.

Suggestion: give tool tips for these gem bonuses and/or make language more clear.

Hello,

as i found out and understood it, its that if you have just 1 gem slot, like you do, this gem is the only elemental gem.

If you would have 4 gen slots, like on non magical/on grey items, this effect is just active if there is just this gem classified elemental.

F.e. Your 60%gem and a lightning infusion gem wouldnt work, because two gems classified elemental

Your gem with stamina recovery gem would work.

Hope this helps

UP.

yes the wording is unclear. I’m also curious if i infuse gloves with

“(FIRE GEM)Enchantment Power Increased if its the only elemental gem”

and helmet with

“(COLD) Enchantment Power Increased if its the only elemental gem”

will it work ?

[Potential Fix]: Instead of elemental (Gem) you could use or introduce the elemental Gem icon.

the Text would then say: “$ Enchantment Power increased by 60% if this is the only $ on this Item.“

This needs a complete rework IMHO.

Right now there’s something like 5 that are exactly the same. My thinking: make a new gem type (let’s see crystal) that is for all gear types with this stat: “enchantments of this item are increased by 60% of your character has equipped no other crystals”

That’s terribly extensive wording, so you’d have to shorten it, but at least the idea is much clearer than this “only elemental gem”

So, if I am understanding this correctly, I could put one of each elemental gem on 4 different pieces of gear, and they would all work fine? It’s not something like all of the gems have to match for them to work?

To clarify, if I have an amethyst on my chest armor to boost the enchants there, and I have a quartz on my headgear to boost the enchants there, will both gems still work? If not, do they both need to be amethyst?

If having amethyst on my chest and quartz on my hat does work, then why even add the exception? You can only have one gem on any enchanted gear. Can the enchant boost work on other gems? If I have a masterwork glove with a fang, a moonstone and a skull, does adding a ruby to the glove boost the other gems? If not, then why is this confusing wording even in place at all?

It’s very misleading.

If the item is gray (4 sockets), then +x to enchantment power on the item, is a null matter, there are no enchantments.

If there are enchantments, then you can only ever have 1 gem, ergo, it can only be 1 gem.

So, if the intent is to scale enchantments locally, then the gem could simply say “Enchantment powers on the item are increased by X%“.

To clarify, a gem only considers the item it is on, not other items equipped.

Yes.

Yes.

The other three gems count as enchantments.

Wow, the game really doesn’t make that clear or intuitive
