1. NPC reactions not only in conversation, but also in actions!
The thing is that you can talk to characters several times. That is, to call them again for dialog.
And the thing is that such characters have all reactions reduced to conversation, and then it turns out that you can interrogate him “endlessly”, and he will send you away, as in this example.
So, instead of all this endless “Don’t bother me” talk, is it possible to make it so that he can at least hit me with his fists without doing damage, provoke a fight/weapon:? And, like, not even endless conversations. If you piss him off a few times, he’ll stop talking to you. So you can really realize that there are characters who don’t care about you. And in the future, for example, some characters can contact you if you do some global action or maybe help him or have a “party” with him and regain his loyalty.
In reality, you won’t be able to get people to that infinite level. Patience doesn’t last forever.
2. The importance of mini games, activities. Progress of axe and fishing.
Can an axe break faster if chiseled very fast:? Can a fish drag you underwater? It’s all about seeing progress even in small activities. Like in games where you’re hunting for small prey, you start to understand more and you want to hunt for the big one.
And in reality: a fish can drag the rod and even you with it under the water! I’m not saying that you should make a show out of it: the fish drags you to the bottom, there you find a treasure that someone needs, you don’t give it away, and then bandits hunt you down, burn down your house, etc. Although that sounds good too:)
I’m not talking about just not chiseling wood 3-6 times in the same way, I’m talking about revitalizing the activity so that it evolves over time. Let there be a bunch of different rods for different fish, let even small activities like that find solace in No Rest, not just “farming” because “met a random tree and done”.
When you can bounty hunt, everything else can seem unimportant. But it’s like RDR 2: you can seemingly live without hunting and minigames, but they’re in the game. Minigame tournaments, hunting rare animals, etc.
At the very beginning, the NPCs talk about some lake where there are lots of fish and good catches. So, if there you just have to cast a rod and at the right moment press a button to pull out a fish, and then do it one by one, then there is no pleasure in these stories.
3. Are there interactions with these characters:?
One asks for ale, the other for coins. I don’t see that I can give her coins in any way.
I just thought maybe I could do it, and these characters could thank the player in the future or help in some way:?(help will not be forgotten)
4. In the game you can pet the animals. Will it be possible to feed and keep them?
What if I want to give my chowder (dish) to a dog/cat. Where is this option:? Tame the animals!
5. Hmm? The dog’s voiceover:?
…
…
But we can try to translate it into our language). Yeah, No Rest is not Lara Croft who has learned many languages, but wouldn’t translating what the dog says/clarifying the commands work:?
6. Mouse cursor visibility + full screen mode
At a resolution of 1920x1080, and I think at any resolution, I would like the mouse cursor to be invisible when moving to the edge of the screen. Currently, the mouse cursor is invisible (or barely visible) only when moving to the bottom or right side of the screen. There is only a setting to change the large (special) cursor to a normal one. I would really like to be able to make it invisible when moving to different corners of the screen and even hide it from the screen in the settings! So this needs to be taken into account for aesthetics
Usually, games have 3 modes: windowed, full screen, and full screen in a window. As far as I understand, full-screen mode should provide even better performance. But maybe it won’t work that way here? Even though the game’s performance has been improved, there may still be FPS drops in some areas of the game. But it’s up to you to decide whether or not to add a true full-screen mode in the future.
7. Photo mode + complete disabling of HUD
It is already needed:) Because it is not very desirable to take a photo when the top right shows the build number (then you can easily crop it or not, but still).
8. Why someone’s screams interrupt being in the game interface:?
If you are in the game menu or for example in the character interface as here:
then shouting for help interrupts being in the menu and returns to the game screen!
On the one hand it is right that you need to provide help in a timely manner.
But on the other hand, he can yell like that as much as he wants and besides, I do not have to do this quest right now. There is no penalty for not going to him now - he won’t die. There’s no timer.
And if I change my stats or change my equipment, why is his shouting more important than this:? Am I supposed to go in there naked naked character to go in there and fight?
