Not a fan of earlier housing

Lol i hope they squish this one quickly tho . i seen allot of other bugs that were hilarious but this one made me go through the 5 stages of grief

Im sure the devs saw that post. There are indeed a number of bugs right now, but thats what EA is for.

Have you tried making a new realm with the same character? it wouldnt be as tedious as creating a new character. You can just zip through the intro part until you get to Sacrament, plus with everything that your character can carry from the previous realm.

Bit of a late reply, but after replaying for the Breach update this occurred to me again. I had already purchased a house and completed the “Of Rats and Raiders” quest quite a bit later. After hearing the voice lines from the characters about “making Sacrament your home”, it just felt wrong to have been able to purchase a house this early on.

Kinda hoping that this gets changed back, because progression wise it also felt a lot better to unlock housing instead of it being given to you.

Perhaps you could just own the 10ner near the graveyard and Stoneworks. A squatters situation at the start? I enjoy having a place to go immediately after. Mind you I can always just jump realms to my home so maybe my point is moot.

Its been a year since this topic was made! Now after replaying with a fresh character and realm, it seems that the previous storage issue of having stacks of 20 is now solved. Which in turn should also solve requiring a house early on. Hopefully they can revert it back to the original design of having to complete “Of Rats and Raiders” to earn your right to buy property in Sacra.

Not to mention the free chests inside the rookery where you can also store your stuff in and transfer later when you get a house.

The original intent was better, with regards to the flow of the story and immersion. Which the dialogue from Winnick affirms.
