The music you hear in the very first area the beach feels strange and fascinating. It’s not the typical “beginning of the journey” theme, but rather something that seems to draw from a more personal memory. I don’t know if it’s tied to the devs themselves or if it’s just my own impression, but it carries a nostalgic tone, as if it’s echoing a long-lost time. And it fits perfectly with the mood: the wind, the plants swaying gently, the recently devastated landscape… truly something special.
Moving on to the lore (maybe tying in with a post I’ve seen here before), there’s one question that keeps bugging me: why do the Cerim have such unnaturally long arms compared to their bodies?
I admit I might have missed a few bits of dialogue or lore texts, but I still don’t fully understand their connection to the Pestilence. Were they corrupted? Or were they already using some form of magic that spiraled out of control? Maybe they tried to fight the plague by embracing the very force they sought to destroy… and ended up trapped, condemned by it? Some extinct, others locked behind that giant gate?
In any case, the more I explore Sacra, the more I feel that there’s a powerful story hidden beneath the surface but scattered, and that makes me want to replay, observe more closely, and read every scrap of lore I find. That said, I do wish there were more environmental texts: books, scrolls, inscriptions… anything to tell us more about the Cerim, the king, the people, and the choices that led them to the brink.
