My suggestion is a target system, which you could do with an old-fashioned hand lantern that you have in your inventory.
Like a headlight like in a car, i.e. only where it is brighter at certain points, you can land and not jump to your death.
How should it work/look?
The hand lantern only has a hole with a lens in it where the light shines out.
As a light source you could use a magical candle or perhaps magical fireflies that you can collect in different worlds or buy from a dealer.
In general, you could easily incorporate the hand lantern into the Sorry.
Maybe its just me, but i dont really understand what you mean?

I dont get the idea, the lantern would inform you that jumping from that place is certain death?
Dont you think thats too much handholding, my usual deaths from falling were running near the ledge, of course sometimes the dodging away from enemy attacks does its part, but i die less when i run less near ledges, so i think its a learning process, we need to be more careful since the jump is auto, and thats not gonna change because its hard to see where the ledge is with an isometric view.
Not to mention the lantern would have to account for how much health you have, since i have survived a lot of falls with 30 health.
I don’t know if any such mechanic is necessary, but if something were to be done, there is a simpler method.
Rather than a lantern (which I really don’t understand, if I’m being honest), something like what Elden Ring does could be employed.
If you drop a certain stone (or object) and it breaks, you would also not survive the drop.
But having said that, I don’t have a problem knowing if a fall is going to kill me. Elden Ring was far more subtle. But this game really isn’t. Almost every time, I know if I’ll be fine or not.
