New Patch Bug - On Death > 2+min load screen > character is still dead + UI is frozen > alt+F4

Your last update broke something and on a Saturday, not cool.

All load screens are taking significantly longer(sometimes 3 to 5 minutes on my SSD and tried on MK2)

I have died x2 from fall damage, upon release to go to the whisper the game enters an insanely long load screen. After the load screen I am back in the game with no character on screen and 0 HP. The interface is hardlocked so I cannot exit the game or respawn

I am forced to close the application completely to get back into the game

I respawn in the spot died in with full health

It is a terrible experience for these quick hot fixes to come out in the AM and ruin the ability to play the game on a Saturday :frowning:

Hey Cz24, sorry about that man.

Can you - as askan suggests - verify files?

If that doesn’t help, a clean reinstall please?

No other performance issues before this? Can you nail down which hotfix it was that potentially screwed things up for you?

I am having something similar.

Shared Realm with friend (me admin in EU, friend in USA, server America, ping about 105 to 120).

Friend died, tried to respawn, got stuck in the loading screen, no progress showing

Friend left the game, continued from last whisper, got stuck in the loading screen again.

I left the game, loaded back in, loading took longer than it did before, but I could still see the in game mouse cursor and move it. But I don’t spawn in, just see the game world, then the world starts disintegrating (geometry disappeared layer by layer), then the game crashed.

Friend loaded in, waited for about 5 mins for it to load. Gets into the game but loads into his dead character and cannot revive or do anything.

I loaded back in, got notification about save discrepancy between cloud and local file, chose local file. Loading ream took very long, but mouse cursor worked, so I waited. entered the realm, saw friend in the top left as dead, but could not find his dead body. Friend could see me in the game world when I was close to his position but still couldn’t do anything, no menu access, nothing.

I left, restarted, loaded back in, then got stuck on a frozen loading screen, no loading progress shown in bottom right corner at all, no mouse cursor. Had to Alt F4 out.

My initial energy on this was heightened because I bought 6 copies to play with family and I was missing out on limited time, appreciate you Silas and sorry for any frustration

I did a fresh install and verified the files through steam while it was happening

I havent experienced the issue for a few days. I had one other friend experience the issue while we were playing but it didnt happen for the rest of the weekend

It feels sporadic and might be hard to chase down if it is happening, because it cleared up after the 4th time I restarted

I accept your apology but there is really no need for it, very understandable about this.

Awesome to hear it isn’t happening anymore! If it does, let us know here.

It’s probably a desync issue, those will be worked on from Moon’s side (they have actually already solved a ton of them since the beta, you have no idea haha).

Those also might be caused by mods, so if you install those just keep it to your local Realm, not online.
