Nerf CC on Bosses

As someone who has cleared the content of the game with 15 characters so far, I can tell you that CC is really strong in this game compared to the average souls-like I’ve played. I imagine the devs are going to change this in some way, but I figured I’d toss in my thoughts.

Encourage Multiple Runes/Weapons
We have 6 weapon slots, but more often than not a build is tied to a single weapon and that’s all that will get used in a boss fight. Let’s change that, get players to embrace other weapons and runes outside of spamming one thing that works well. Once a boss is CC’d by something like Ice, it should become resistant so said CC for a time. Maybe show them shatter outside of the ice and for a time after that any ice attacks make some sort of “ineffective” sound (something noticeable but not super annoying). If the player wants to CC again, they’re either going to have to wait a minute, or cycle to another type of CC, either by using another rune or switching weapons.

Remove Focus Gain from Rune Attacks
A LOT of my builds end up just being, “What rune attack hits a lot so that focus on damage makes it free?” Unless you start making the bosses just super chunky on hp and cc resist, you need to nerf this. Make it where the gem/effect further increases the focus gained on basics but does not apply to damage from runes.

Smack Backs
Some of the enemies in the game will smack you with a shove or backhand if you stay up on them, give this kind of move to more bosses so the player isn’t just pounding them into the ground and ignoring dodging/blocking/parrying. Make them have to do something correctly to stay on top of the fight.
