Native Linux Client Question

Hi!
I might switch from Windows to Linux in the future, but I’m wondering about one thing: does the Linux client for No Rest for the Wicked run Windows binary files through the Proton engine, or is it a “real” native Linux client, and how good is the peformance?
I’m also wondering whether the developers are building the game with Linux users in mind.

Have a nice day!

Hello @YavindPew , the game client runs the Windows binaries through Proton. There is no native Linux client yet, but it may come in the future, based on what was said in the last stream.

I’ve been playing on Linux via Proton for quite some time now and the game runs very well. If you make a proper setup with the right drivers for your hardware, it will likely play better than on Windows 11. This applies for all games I’ve played so far on Linux.

I confirm what @ReinRaus said. After about 100 hours on Linux with ProtonGE, it runs perfectly fine!
