Just an fyi, the scream rune (utility rune you can buy) cancels his attack and he will do another. It’s only 50 fp to skip moves you don’t like, such as the purple goop. Maybe a bit cheese, it doesn’t work on all bosses, but it does on this guy.

Sure thing. I tested heavy armor shove on him last night too and it does the same thing though it’s less reliable as sometimes your character just misses and you get wacked.
