Since my choice of play is melee I need to take the combat seriously. In my hardcore runs I generally deal with max 3 or sometimes 4 enemies at the same time. And when I stagger one in mid combat it generally doesn’t worth trying to get behind them. It is dangerous and since their healt is lovered I can finish them. But this way staggering feels slightly unrewarding.
For some reason devs didn’t allow us to do frontal execution and I am okay with that. So my suggestion is when an enemy is staggared you can run over them and jump on to other enemies. When you run into an enemy you staggered, you get high in the air and perform air plunge attack to an other enemy. The enemy you used for jumping falls flat on ground which slightly increses its down time. This way the enemies you stagger in crowd feels more rewarding and you get more opputunities to do air plunge attack. This can also be applied to staggared non-humanoid enemies to make them more interactable when staggared.
BTW I’m usually solving those situations with AOE rune and stagger/kill remaining enemies I missed. Still it would be nice to have more special cinematic moves.
With given tools it is solvable I don’t deny. For some reason I am still trying to finish the game with my Conan in hardcore no fancy magic just good old raw force, parry, blood, sweat Imagine a scenario a boarskin orders his boar to charge you, you parry it and use it to jump over to its owner. Voice acting of our character is top notch, it would feel so good.
I also think it would be really easy to implement in game and adds so much cool scenery like this.
I also wish you can ride bigger enemies like Kratos riding a Cyclops and using it against your enemies. Generally when I see them with little enemies I position myself in a way so that they can smack smaller enemies but it would be still cool to ride them. But this might be so much to ask for for now due to new animations(I would deffinitelly love to see it tho).
