Lowland Meadows sequence break (minor)

It is possible to get into the Lumber Mill early, unlocking the rest of the Lowland Meadows without talking to Ellsworth & Winnick. This results in skipping some of The Weeping Sisters quest line.

The Skip

is performed here,

and this is how it’s done.

LumberSkip

I have close to a 50% success rate making that jump. It’s tight, but doable.

Upon getting around the wall shown above, you can drain the Lumber Mill and proceed directly to the Lost Huntress boss arena. This bypasses the dialogue with the hunter’s camp, preventing you from getting the letter for Eleanor, and also does not show the mini cinematic of the Lost Huntress boss silhouette on the way to the arena.

The skip does not break the quest line, as you can still fight the boss, it just removes some of the flavor in favor of speed. You still get to see the cutscene regarding the mysterious messenger who sent the letter to Ellsworth. Ultimately, this might only be interesting to speed runners. I am unsure weather this will merit a fix.

I would be interested in seeing them, even if they are gone by 1.0 lol

@Damius I doing the same skip and now I can’t fight the boss. The boss didn’t appear.

Did you get the weeping sisters quest to progress to right in front of the lumber mill?

I left Ellsworth & Winnick standing near the cave in front of the lumber mill when I did the skip, and after I cleared the poisoned water they moved and I was able to progress the quest.

It’s possible that if you drain the water too early the quest might break. I will do some testing when I find the time.
