Problem: While playing co-op with friends, chest loots and item pickup feel bad when one person loots everything, others get nothing, leaving it a feast or famine situation. Especially rare things like Fallen Ember and legendary items. For public co-op, it feels extra bad because there’s no in-game chat or any negotiation system to decide who keeps/gets what.
Solution: A loot roll system (need or greed like World of Warcraft) system would be appreciated. This can be further filtered by loot rarity or item categories depending on the party. They can also choose to set loot to free for all. Money earned is an even split between everyone nearby.
I slightly disagree because the game does have features like realm player privilege (admin/citizen) and the ability to set houses/chests to private, which means they already had it in mind players might play with strangers. I see people commonly do co-op crucible runs via official Discord. Might as well have a loot distribution system rather than making the co-op experience straight up unenjoyable or unfair if not played with trusted friends.
