Chests for all in coop

Make chests gatherable from all party members if you play co op. There is no point to play with others if u cannot at lest loot all same chest.

disagree, share the loot. friendly fire and shared loot is the reason this game feels unique.

I’m sorry, but this is a huge cope in my opinion. If you want and like shared loot, that’s a perfectly fine position to have. But it’s what makes the game unique? Really?

If that’s the thing doing it, the game is failing, massively. Which I actually agree with, funnily enough.

My take on shared loot specifically is this; it feels bad the way it is currently implemented because most of the time loot is boring and there’s not enough of it.

If you’re playing with friends, generally they’ll at least share drops for your build. If you’re playing with randoms though, I think the game would benefit from a loot roll system similar to MMOs.

Alternatively, just give us the option to have instanced or shared loot for realms. Problem solved.

I’d counter with a different loot distribution system. Something like one person opens the chest, loot shown to all. Automatic dice roll decides which item you get. And you can vote need/greed on an item if you really want it.

Friendly loot sharing traders can just share anything as they currently do. And randos tolerating each others’ company in a party might have more fair loot distribution with something like that.

Dice rolls??? This is not a MMORPG, you are not “competing” for the loot.

Get a house
Fill with chests
Put it on full shared mode
Gather loot, dump all inside said chests
Everyone pick what they need

It is so easy (and it is what we are doing ALREADY since day one).

That’s also what I do with my party. It seems like the challenge was raised by someone who doesn’t do that, so I assumed public party / playing with randos and those kinds of plays may need a fair solution to splitting loot.

I can’t agree with this enough.

Let’s stop with looting and going through loot in the field. Normalize having a set time you go through it as a team, and where everyone takes their breaks for refreshments/bio.

It’s easy enough to share chests full of gear and then everyone can poke through and look for upgrades they need. Round robin who gets to go first if you have a greedy player. I see being worried about gear early game, but if you run from the beach to the city at least once per person in your party, you’re likely to have all the gear you need for getting started.

I feel like there is a fundamental failing with the game explaining how loot works. You can take any class gear (cloth, leather, mesh, plate) and build it how you want. You can convert common gear to magical, or vice versa, you can control what enchants or gems are installed.. you don’t have to find the perfect ‘already made’ gear in the world. For my group, it’s finding the perfect looking piece that we want, and then shaping that armor to meet our needs.

non shared loot is dumb, so many selfish people in gaming. this never works unless you are close friends. me coming from experience.
