Loot and dopamine :)

I jumped in after breach update and here’s some thoughts.

I love the art design and overall feel of the world. Level design is also pretty good and I think difficulty level was good for me after the latest hotfixes.

My biggest draw back was I didn’t get enough dopamine hits from loot drops or progression. I understand much of the design is based around crafting and while that part of the progression is pretty good, I didn’t find myself getting excited over an animal horn or such material.

Other issue was the inventory management and menus that were designed for console/gamepad players. I guess it is matter of taste and I personally enjoy moving things around and managing storage space like in games such as Diablo 2 or Escape from Tarkov with high detailed item models and inventory space size.

Suggestion:
There could be potential to build on existing crafting system by adding another layer in form of rarer loot drops starting from early game. You could example design an item type that is exciting, powerful or game altering on its own and you could use crafting system to build on top of that base. You could for example use crafting materials to unlock new properties in the item or alter it in some other way.

Example you could find a ‘Ring of Time’ in early game with item type “Forgotten Relic”. It gives you couple of random stats and static +5% run speed. Crafting with the ring using starting level materials could unlock new property “+5% increased parry window”, further on crafting with higher tier materials could open another properties all the way up to end game materials could give you even activated ability like “slow time for 2 seconds”.

Thank you for the hard work team!
The game is great just add in more dopamine hits

Look into Lost ark Bossing people are addicted to it, but get rid of the Gacha/P2W. This game completely reminded me of Lost ark when I jumped back into Breach and did the new areas and especially the new and amazing “dynamic” bosses!

1.3 million players played lost ark 2022 release, and now down to 20k and bots. Many left because the game went too far in P2W, like Insanity levels!

But the game is still very much alive, because, bossing + rewards = Dopamine

What I’m trying to say is get the good stuff from this game and make it availble co-op online! And you have insane years for players and devs to go with this game!
Unparralled!
